I purchased the MM size of the LV OnTheGo from the Louis Vuitton website and found that the date code starts with FP. It says it is made in Italy. Everyone had this bag one time or another. I know I still have it in a dust bag in my closet. I think the LV OnTheGo can have the same problem with the giant monogram. I prefer the Dior, but I am biased towards Dior usually. I guess I fell in love with it and turned a blind eye to how small it is. They didn't have any MM in store for size comparison, no bicolor, canvas, nothing. The newer black straps currently on the OTG is crafted of leather, meaning if there are issues in the future, LV will replace these at cost (unless it's a defect). With canvas items, LV almost never does any repair or replacement of cracked canvas . I have an older style cross-body bag called the Marly pochette bandouliere, which had all-canvas . Downside of Onthego, pricy, heavier than Neverfull, can't be folded flat like Neverfull. Pro of Neverfull, inexpensive compare to many other LV bags, super light weight, tested classic, downside of Neverfull, everyone has one! thinner shoulder strap would be unbearable on the shoulder if carry super heavy stuff. I chose the Onthego!! The reverse monogram with the red interior is so striking and the canvas is so much lighter. Another huge plus for me is that the lv on the go is extremely hard to find now and will be produced in limited quantities.
